An Advanced Markdown Model boosting margins across key markets

Our Advanced Markdown Model (AMM) gave a major fashion retailer data-driven markdown suggestions that factor in sales channel, geography, demand signals, and real-time inventory. When teams follow its guidance, contribution margins rise across key European markets, achieving a +10 percentage points increase. Beyond margins, it helps free up inventory capital, improving working capital and the balance sheet.

A 3D fit simulation solution improving size accuracy and cutting returns

For one leading fashion client we created a 3D model to digitise garment fit with precise 3D simulations. Simulations leverage thousands of data points utilising machine learning to create accurate fit classifications. Enhanced product classification improved customer experience by aligning expectation with reality, resulting in a 4.1 percentage point reduction in return rates. As a consequence, operational costs, such as logistics and packaging, decreased accordingly.

In collaboration with a multinational fashion holding, we performed a revision of past Open To Buy processes. By implementing real-time insights, we were able to make informed decisions to strategically reduce the OTB to improve working capital and relieve pressure of excess inventory, driving a –31% sell-in cost value.
